01 — PROJECT DETAILS
During the pandemic, tourism and many local businesses were greatly affected. Still, ease in restrictions has made our goal to give back to the community possible, allowing us to show what this Coast can offer. A website accompanies their social media to purchase tickets and receive further details. It had reached its goal of selling 5 group tickets, and the event went off without a hitch, leaving with an enjoyable experience and guests wanting more.
02 — CREATIVE PROCESS
A clean and comprehensive single-page layout design aims to provide a linear and fluid experience for the user to digest content easily. Intuitive interactions and straightforward navigation to access content without unnecessary noise. Parallax imagery adds motion to a static design. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to create graphical elements and retouch images—Webflow as the CMS and hosting platform.
Stage One
The initial wireframe idea was to determine the site's proper navigation and structure for a multi-page layout. An issue with a map view and menu item selection is that it exposes the user to content that otherwise should be kept mysterious to fit the brand. A login requirement to access features is ultimately unnecessary for a one-time application, so an email listing for updates is already sufficient.
Stage Two - Final Sitemap
This more condensed sitemap simplifies the navigation into a single-page structure, focusing on event details and ticket options, which are crucial parts. The map overview section was removed to adhere to the brand's mystery theme and simplify food prepping for sponsors with pre-selected package deals.
The sans-serif typeface chosen for the website has an exceptionally formal and elegant style. A formula determines a consistent scale of lettering size, line height and margin spacing.
